Man suspected of fraud and false accusation

A 29-year-old mainland man allegedly attempted to defraud a money exchanger but failed and later falsely accused the exchanger of stealing HKD500,000. The Judiciary Police (PJ) stated that the suspect has been charged with large-scale fraud and making a false report. The incident occurred in a Cotai casino, where the suspect attempted to deceive the exchanger by claiming a failed transfer. Authorities later confirmed no transaction took place. The suspect admitted to committing the act due to gambling losses.
