Employees in transport sector down
Receipts and expenditure of the Transport, Storage & Communications Sector in 2022 amounted to MOP16.83 billion and MOP15.16 billion respectively, down by 11.7% and 10.3% year-on-year. Establishments engaged in the sector decreased by 29 year-on-year to 3,258 in 2022, and number of persons engaged dropped by 1,428 to 16,628. Data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated the total number of employees went down by 1,451 to 18,992.
