Melco Resorts & Entertainment hosted a local youth sharing session featuring badminton legend Lin Dan recently, aimed at inspiring young athletes in Macau.

This event was part of the inaugural “2024 Macau Lin Dan Cup Badminton Open,” which Melco co-hosted.

During the session at Studio City’s Seer Arena, Lin Dan shared insights from his career as an Olympic gold medalist and two-time Grand Slam champion. He discussed the challenges he faced and encouraged local players to pursue their dreams.

The event also included interactive badminton sessions with Lin Dan and fellow athlete He Bingjiao, who recently won an Olympic silver medal. The initiative involved participants from the Macau Special Olympic Badminton Team, Macau Polytechnic University, and Melco teams.

Hetzer Siu, National Director of Macau Special Olympics, highlighted the significance of such interactions for athletes with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing how sports can promote inclusivity and understanding within the community.
