Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced that it will have an in-house nursery at one of its properties to support the company’s working parent employees – the first of its kind in the city.
Subject to relevant licenses being obtained, The Macau Holy House of Mercy will be the nursery’s management operator, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
Lawrence Ho, chairman and CEO of Melco, said, “A most important pillar for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is women and families. […] Encouraging taking care of the primary priority of children while working, the Melco in-house nursery will facilitate the wellbeing of families.”
The Creche of Santa Casa was established in March 2002, where pre- school education is provided in both Chinese and Portuguese.
“We are enthusiastic about operating the first in-house nursery in Macau as part of our aim to provide a range of regular social service facilities to the community of Macau,” said António José de Freitas, president of The Holy House of Mercy.
