Melco to open City of Dreams Mediterranean in July

The City of Dreams Mediterranean located in the city of Limassol, Cyprus, is set to open its doors by July 10, becoming the first integrated resort in Europe, Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced.

After Macau and Manila, this new City of Dreams is the third to be developed by Melco and will comprise Europe’s largest casino, Cyprus’ biggest expo center, and also 500 guest rooms and suites.

“We are thrilled to finally open the doors of City of Dreams Mediterranean to our valued guests,” general manager of City of Dreams Mediterranean Grant Johnson said in a statement.

“As it’s a landmark project and our first venture in Europe, it will bring Melco’s award-winning standards of entertainment and leisure and welcome innovation to Cyprus’ luxury hotel scene,” Grant Johnson added.

The property has an 8,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space featuring a grand ballroom, a multi-functional forum and a roman-style amphitheater,

An initial soft opening period for hotel and invited guests will commence on June 12, before the full opening to the public takes place on July 10. Staff Reporter
