MGM embraces city’s heritage in mooncake box design

MGM embraces its hometown Macau this year in its mooncake gift box’s design by collaborating with Lok Hei, a local artist who is also the Creator and Executive Producer of “Macao: Back to Common Roots Narrative Film.”

Featuring several graphic illustrations of Macau’s iconic historical sites depicted in the film, the design “spreads the warmest festive greetings with a sense of ‘home’,” according to a statement issued by the gaming operator.

The design theme of MGM’s mooncake gift box surrounds the strokes and brushes of Lok Hei featured in the film, which includes Penha Hill, A-Ma Temple, Ruins of St. Paul and other historical sites in the city.

White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with Double Yolk Gift Box, Mini Custard Mooncake Gift Box that includes six mini mooncakes with silky and rich egg custard centers, and Assorted Mini Mooncake Gift Box are available for purchase at Pastry Bar, Imperial Court, Square Eight at MGM Macau, as well as at Anytime, Hao Guo, Chún and Five Foot Road at MGM Cotai.
