The 2nd Board Inauguration Ceremony of the Macau Gaming Management Association (MGMA) was held yesterday, where Alan Feldman, chairman of the National Center for Responsible Gaming and executive vice president of MGM Resorts International Global Affairs, delivered the keynote speech.
The ceremony, sponsored by MGM, concluded training sessions for the operator’s employees that took place earlier in the day. The initiative falls under the umbrella of MGM’s Responsible Gaming Program, established since the opening of MGM Macau.
“The gaming industry should be committed to educating its employees as well as the public about responsible play,” said Alan Feldman. “All of us in the industry should learn from one another about how responsible gaming programs are impacting our guests, and what works the best in sharing that information with them and our employees.”
“This isn’t just about any one company; this is about the entire industry, whether it’s in Macau, Singapore, United States or Canada. We all have a shared interest and shared responsibility,” he added.
Davis Fong, President of MGMA, complemented the remarks, adding: “We will continue to bring worldwide expertise, like Mr Feldman himself, into the community of Macau to promote public awareness of responsible gaming, as well as to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.” DB
