As demand rises for tech-savvy, flexible spaces for weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations, MGM Macau showcased its upgraded meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) venues last weekend with a three-day open house at MGM Macau and MGM Cotai.
The 2026 MGM Events and Celebrations Open House ran from Friday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
The event at both properties featured more than 21 banquet and service partners offering on-site consultations for everything from floral designs, personalized scents, and wedding cakes to live entertainment and bridal styling.
Over the three days, a star attraction was the new Fantasy Box venue at MGM Macau, publicly displayed for the first time.
The 1,000-square-meter (10,764-square-foot) multifunctional venue features a 500-square-meter, 7-meter-high three-sided ultra-high-definition LED display, theater-grade audiovisual systems, and seating for nearly 800 guests.
The venue was designed by MGM Macau, Disguise, and Smart Monkeys to create an adaptive, immersive environment that is both visionary and highly usable.
“It’s purpose-built for any occasion – from gala banquets and product launches to concerts and exhibitions,” said Cindy Lui, MGM Macau’s vice president of resort sales, of the Fantasy Box. She also pitched the MGM Macau venues as delivering “luxurious product at an affordable price,” highlighting strong local inquiries and wedding interest from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area to the Times.
Other highlights that captured attendees’ attention included the Vista venues at both properties, poolside spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline or garden views for up to 300 guests, and pillarless ballrooms exceeding 3,000 square meters (32,292 square feet) for 1,000 people.
