Nearly 110,000 visit Sands Shopping Carnival despite typhoon disruption

The 2025 Sands Shopping Carnival attracted nearly 110,000 visits over its three-day run from July 17 to 19 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo.
Originally scheduled for four days, the event concluded early due to Typhoon Wipha. Organised by Sands China Ltd. and co-organised by the Macao Chamber of Commerce, the annual event is now in its sixth edition.
The carnival featured more than 580 booths across eight themed zones, including household products, gourmet and wine, local culture, and a new coffee zone reflecting the city’s growing café culture.
Community involvement included participation from 19 local NGOs and various support activities led by Sands Cares Ambassadors.
This year’s edition also included performances, workshops, and a karaoke competition, as well as environmental activities aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.
Since its debut in 2020, the Sands Shopping Carnival has drawn over 640,000 visits, making it one of the city’s most attended retail events.
