New continuing education scheme to launch mid-June

The new term of the Continuing Education Development Program, covering 2026 to 2029, will become available starting mid-next month. Under the new rules, courses must cost MOP 3,000 or more to be eligible. Residents whose overall attendance rate in the previous term fell below 30% – or who violated beneficiary obligations, such as allowing others to use their ID card to enroll in or attend classes on their behalf, or failing to cooperate with Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) monitoring – must enroll under the “pay first, apply later” method. They may apply for the subsidy through the Macao One Account system once their course attendance rate reaches 70%.
