Newborn discovered dead by coast
The body of a deceased newborn was found at about 11:20 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to information disclosed by the police authority.
The newborn was found by a cleaner commissioned by the Municipal Affairs Bureau on the coast near a casino property in downtown Macau. The discovery was reported to the PJ at about 12:09 p.m.
The worker stumbled across the body while conducting daily cleaning work in the neighborhood, according to the PJ. The newborn was found in a box with the umbilical cord still attached.
The results of an on-site inspection showed that the body had started decomposing. The PJ could not determine the sex of the newborn at the scene. The newborn was about 25cm long and unclothed. AL
