Over 200 seniors benefit from denture program since launch

Since its launch in 2019, the “Dental Prosthesis Installation Program for the Elderly” has referred all eligible and interested seniors to nonprofit medical institutions, with 203 seniors completing denture installation by May. The average time from referral to installation is about five months. The Health Bureau confirmed that seven health centers provide free dental care, referring specialized cases to Conde S. Januário Hospital, where the average wait time is about one week.
