Pedestrian injured in zebra crossing bus collision
A 65-year-old local man was injured Tuesday morning after being hit by a bus at Praça Ferreira Amaral. Authorities suspect the 42-year-old female bus driver failed to yield at a zebra crossing. The driver passed a breathalyzer test and has been prosecuted. The injured man was taken to Kiang Wu Hospital in stable condition. In a separate incident minutes later on Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, a minor rear-end collision involving a private car and taxi occurred, with no injuries.
