Woman scammed out of MOP980 in fake buffet voucher deal
A local woman lost MOP980 in an online buffet voucher scam. She responded to a social media ad from a supposed travel agency offering discounted vouchers for a Cotai hotel. After transferring the money via QR code, the scammer promised to provide the order number later but then cut off contact. Upon inquiry, both the travel agency and restaurant denied any related bookings. Suspecting fraud, the victim filed a police report. The case is under investigation.
