Pickleball court planned for Taipa as gov’t allocates three sites for temporary sports facilities

The government has announced plans to designate three plots of land for temporary sports facilities, as reaffirmed during a recent community dialogue session attended by about 60 members of the public. One of the plots, located in Taipa, will be developed into a pickleball court – a sport that remains relatively new to Macau. The three parcels of idle land include Zone B13 in New Urban Zone A, Lot C8 in Nam Van Lake, and Lot BT7 in Taipa. The Nam Van site will be configured as a multi-purpose venue, with authorities set to evaluate whether existing facilities can be repurposed to accommodate various sporting activities.
