Residential buildings stand in the Cheoc Van area, Coloane

The average price per square meter of property in Macau fell 16.87 percent in August year-on-
year. Data released by the Finance Service Bureau (DSF) yesterday indicates that August property sales registered a sharp 22 percent decline when compared with those of the previous year. Only 443 units were sold during the month.
Average prices on the Macau peninsula dropped by 7.88 percent to MOP82,506 per square meter. In Taipa the decline was more extreme, with the average price per square meter at MOP81,391 (down 27.37 percent year-on-
year). In Coloane the decline amounted to 28.57 percentage points, although the average price per square meter remains the highest, at MOP102,093.
