Repeat rape offender charged with police impersonation

A 47-year-old male local resident
with prior impersonation convictions faces new charges of rape and extortion after allegedly using a forged occupational safety card to pose as a police officer, the Judiciary Police disclosed yesterday. The suspect allegedly followed a mainland sex worker to a hotel in ZAPE on May 8, forced sexual acts during a fake “inspection,” then coerced her into pawning her phone for cash. When her friend intervened, he surrendered a gold chain as collateral but later threatened her with robbery charges. The PJ linked him to another impersonation case and is seeking additional victims.
