Residential property prices drop 12% y-o-y in 2024

Macau’s residential property prices show an 11.7% year-on-year decrease, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). The indices for existing residential units and pre-sale units dropped by 11.3% and 6.1%, respectively. Quarter-on-quarter, the price index fell by 2% in Q4 2024. Prices for residential units in the Macau Peninsula increased by 0.2%, while those in Taipa and Coloane remained unchanged. Additionally, the index for larger homes (over 100 square meters) rose by 3.1%.
