Roadwork coordination team speeds up summer projects ahead of school opening

The Roadworks Coordination Task Force has been streamlining major construction projects near schools during the summer break through cross-department collaboration.

By consolidating works and shortening timelines, the task force has implemented measures requiring contractors to improve efficiency, according to a statement from the Transport Bureau.

As a result, several road sections have reopened ahead of schedule, while remaining projects are progressing as planned and are expected to be completed before the new school year, allowing normal traffic to resume.

Roads that have already reopened include Avenida da Praia Grande near Nam Van Commercial Center, Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga, parts of Estrada de Ferreira do Amaral, Estrada de Dona Maria II, and sections of Rua Norte do Patane.
