Sands China Ltd. strengthened its responsible gaming efforts this year, hosting more than 150 events that engaged over 150,000 participants and providing more than 30,000 hours of staff training, the gaming operator said in a statement.
This year, the company officially launched the Sands Responsible Gaming Academy, partnering with local and international institutions to deliver professional education and talent development in responsible gaming.
Sands China was again recognized as a Responsible Gaming Implementation Model Unit, reflecting its achievements in system development, staff education, and guest support. The company also expanded outreach programs, including family-focused events, campus roadshows, and community campaigns to raise awareness of responsible gaming and financial literacy.
In addition, Sands China donated MOP1 million to five local social service organizations to support education and counselling.
“Sands China remains committed to promoting a culture of responsible gaming and contributing to the long-term and healthy development of Macau’s integrated tourism and leisure industry,” the company said.
