Sands China recently held a seminar to mark the 30th anniversary of Macau SAR’s Basic Law, attended by around 100 of Sands China’s management team.

The seminar took place on June 2 at The Venetian’s Adelson Advanced Education Centre as part of the Sands China Distinguished Speaker Forum Series. Guest speaker Ho Teng Iat, vice chairman of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese, shared their insights.

Wilfred Wong, President of SCL said, “Sands China is pleased to provide this seminar to enhance professionalism. We hope it deepens our team members’ understanding of the Basic Law, its protection of Macau residents’ rights, and its contribution to the city’s development. We thank Ms. Ho for her valuable insights.”

During the seminar, Ho shared her experience of the creation of the Basic Law, highlighting its achievements. She emphasized its role in ensuring a smooth transition for Macau’s return to China and the successful implementation of the One Country, Two Systems principle.

Sands China employees asked questions during the Q&A session.
