Sands China celebrates 17th year of Earth Hour participation

For the 17th consecutive year, Sands China Ltd. participated in Earth Hour 2025 on March 22, turning off exterior and non-essential indoor lights across its properties for one hour.

Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao, The Parisian Macao, and The Londoner Macao joined the global initiative.

In addition to its annual Earth Hour participation, Sands China has observed the event monthly since 2013 by turning off lights, signage, and marquees on the first Tuesday of each month.

This ongoing commitment aims to raise awareness about energy conservation and climate change.

This year, Sands China introduced a creative eco-friendly experience with its “Pedal for Your Smoothie” activity, where guests powered stationary bikes to generate energy for blending smoothies.

According to the gaming operator, their sustainability efforts have saved 42 million kWh of energy since 2019, contributing to their recognition in global sustainability indices.
