Sands China is leading a delegation of 17 DSEDT-certified Macau enterprises on a five-day trip to Lisbon for the Macao Technological Innovation Exploration from Nov. 11 to Nov. 15. Grant Chum, CEO of Sands China Ltd., said this visit aligns with the government’s initiative to promote technology-driven smart tourism and enhance industrial development.
The participating enterprises will gain insights into global technology trends and network at the Web Summit, an annual conference in Lisbon expected to draw 70,000 participants, including 2,600 start-ups and 800 speakers.
Activities include a networking dinner with Lisbon’s tourism and technology stakeholders, and visits to innovative companies, fostering meaningful exchanges.
The tour is co-organized by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) and supported by the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT), with coordination from the Sands Resorts Incubation Center.
