Sands supports Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop for 14th consecutive year

Sands China Ltd. recently donated MOP300,000 to Macau Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop, contributing to the charitable organization for the 14th consecutive year. On the same day, Sands Cares Ambassadors volunteered to help distribute Chinese New Year food hampers to disadvantaged local families at the Welfare Shop.

The shop distributes monthly food and essential items as relief supplies to several thousand households facing financial hardship. The food hampers this year contain staple items like rice, noodles, biscuits, canned food, cooking oil, toothpaste, and shower gel.

The company also gave festive gift packs purchased from Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society to each household. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China, said, “This year, we have distributed food hampers to more than 370 local families.”
