Shenzhen-based delivery services and logistics company SF Express has announced that it will be charging a fuel surcharge for all parcels within Macau and Hong Kong effective yesterday. The charge (MOP1 or HKD1) was said to be temporary and enforced in response to “recent drastic fluctuations in global fuel prices due to the international situation.” The courier also noted that clients with monthly credit accounts would not be subject to the new fee. In a statement, SF Express said the measure aims to “flexibly allocate logistics resources in an unstable external environment and continuously provide customers with stable and efficient pickup and delivery service.”
