Private housing pipeline expands in Q1

The Public Works Bureau reported that five private residential projects received occupancy permits in the first quarter of 2026, providing 47 units. A total of 37 projects are under construction or pending inspection, involving 1,629 units, while 66 projects remain in the design stage, expected to deliver 5,979 units. In the hospitality sector, three hotel projects under construction will offer 204 rooms, with a further 10 projects in the design phase set to provide 1,310 rooms.
