Showers to ease as hot weather sets in

Macau is expected to see a drop in rainfall and a return of sunshine starting today as the city comes under the influence of a subtropical ridge, according to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG). Forecasters said the next few days will be hot, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 32 degrees Celcius. Yesterday, the bureau issued its second red rainstorm warning of the year. Several weather stations recorded peak one-hour rolling rainfall near 50mm, with the highest reading at 49.4mm.
