Smart rehab plan set for rollout

The Social Welfare Bureau said the 2026–2035 Rehabilitation Services Ten-Year Action Plan is largely complete and will be announced after administrative procedures are finalized. Yu Ka Wai, acting head of the Social Mutual Assistance Department’s Rehabilitation Services Division, said about 80 measures have been prepared over the past two years, with some already implemented. Smart technology will be a key focus. A smart assistive device rental service will launch in July, allowing users to trial equipment before purchase or subsidy applications. The bureau will also integrate resources and enhance community promotion.
