Record high cross-border traffic via HZMB

Data from Zhuhai border inspection authorities showed that 114,000 Hong Kong- and Macau-registered single-plate vehicles crossed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge port between Day 28 of the lunar year and the fifth day of the Lunar New Year (Feb. 15–21). On Feb. 21 alone, daily crossings exceeded 20,000 for the first time since the “Northbound Travel for Macau Vehicles” and “Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles” policies were implemented. During the holiday, many residents opted to drive to the mainland to visit relatives and shop. Border authorities boosted manpower and extended operating hours to maintain smooth clearance.
