Telecom companies asked to text Macau cellphones in Israel

The local government has requested local telecommunications companies to send text messages to two local cell phones that are currently connected to the Israeli network, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has announced. The text messages included emergency contact numbers. Local telecommunications companies were not aware of any local cell phone numbers connected to the Palestinian network. The tourism board has also contacted the tourism industry and it was confirmed that no tour groups were in Israel or Palestine. For the time being, no inquiry nor request for help has been received. The second-tier travel warning to Israel is still in effect.
