Thunderbolt operation nets labor violation, traffic offenses

The Public Security Police carried out a two-day “Thunderbolt” operation from Aug. 24 to 25, deploying 37 officers to inspect karaoke bars, hotels, guesthouses, and other venues across Macau. A man suspected of violating foreign labor employment laws was referred to the relevant department for follow-up. Police also conducted random road checks, stopping 37 vehicles and issuing three citations for offenses including carrying a passenger with less than one year of motorcycle driving experience, failing to use headlights, and lacking rearview mirrors.
