Toddler injured in restaurant fire in Macau’s Rua da Barca

A fire broke out yesterday at a restaurant on Rua da Barca, injuring a three-year-old boy.
The child, a customer at the time of the incident, suffered burns to the back of his left thigh and lower leg. He was conscious and in stable condition when he was transported to Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment.
According to the Fire Services Bureau, firefighters arrived promptly and found visible flames in the restaurant’s kitchen.
They quickly extinguished the fire.
The injured boy, a holder of a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau, was dining with his father when they attempted to evacuate.
During their escape, debris fell from the ceiling and caused the burns.
