Two entrepreneurs arrested in connection to MP corruption case

Two local entrepreneurs involved in the case incriminating former management and leadership staff of the Public Prosecution Office (MP) join the role of suspects waiting for trial in preventive custody, in accordance with the measure applied to the former Public Prosecutor General, Ho Chio Meng.
According to a press note from the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) the two entrepreneurs had already been assigned with lighter restrictions, forbidding them from departing the territory.
From Monday the CCAC noted that the restrictions were being violated after, in the process of the investigation, the commission found that the two were causing difficulties in the gathering of evidence and the normal process of the investigation as well as colluding their accounts of the incidents with the aim of standardizing their testimonies in court.
