Two Hong Kong men arrested in phone scam targeting local residents

Macau police have cracked a phone scam case involving the “Guess Who I Am” tactic, arresting two Hong Kong men suspected of acting as money mules for a criminal syndicate. Three local victims – two men and one woman – were tricked into transferring a total of HKD 190,000 after receiving calls from scammers posing as their company superiors, urgently requesting cash transfers. The suspects, aged 33 and 35, were arrested, with one intercepted at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge while attempting to leave Macau.
