UM hosts 5th conference on regenerative medicine

The University of Macau’s (UM) Advanced Research Institute in Hengqin recently hosted the 5th International Conference of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area on Regenerative Medicine, held across Macau and Hengqin. The event brought together about 400 participants, including scholars, clinicians, industry professionals, researchers and postgraduate students from around the world. The conference featured two keynote lectures and seven thematic sessions. Topics included pluripotent neural stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-based treatments for Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases, immune cell therapies, and emerging Alzheimer’s disease strategies involving cranial surgical approaches.
