The University of Macau (UM) hosted the World Universities Public Speaking Invitational Championship 2025, featuring contestants from 11 leading universities worldwide. Under the theme “Creating a Diverse Future Together,” participants shared stories emphasizing cultural exchange, perseverance, and inclusion. Kamal Ashraf Bin Kamil Jumat from the National University of Singapore won first place, with runners-up from the University of British Columbia and Stanford University. Special awards were given to speakers for whom English is a foreign language. The event also offered public speaking workshops led by past international champions.
