Police arrest woman for smuggling drugs from Hong Kong

The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 43-year-old local woman on Monday at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal after intelligence suggested she was bringing drugs into the city. Officers found 0.83 grams of heroin on her, valued at about MOP1,000. A subsequent search of her Coloane residence uncovered drug paraphernalia. She admitted to using and trafficking drugs purchased in Hong Kong for several years. PJ said it is coordinating with Hong Kong authorities to trace the source.
