UM science degrees accredited by the HKIE

The University of Macau’s Faculty of Science and Technology has secured accreditation from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) for four bachelor’s degrees, including Civil Engineering (including the ‘2+2’ joint program with South China University of Technology), Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, and Computer Science. According to a statement from the institution, UM is the only institution in Macau with this recognition, marking its fourth successful accreditation since 2012. Graduates from these programs between 2011 and 2030 are eligible to apply for HKIE membership. The HKIE is the sole statutory professional engineering body in Hong Kong. HKIE-accredited engineering degrees are recognized internationally in countries including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Singapore.
