UTM student wins silver ahead of global skills contest

A student from the Macao University of Tourism (UTM), Bianca Mak Correia, secured a silver medal in restaurant service at the WorldSkills Australia Global Skills Challenge. Correia also earned a “Best in Nation” certificate for achieving the highest score among all contestants representing Macau. Meanwhile, the broader Macau delegation, comprising expert faculty members and Culinary Arts Management students from UTM, competed across four categories: Restaurant Service, Cooking (Western Cuisine), Bakery, and Pâtisserie and Confectionery. UTM said the achievement reflected months of intensive, targeted training, which enabled participants to perform competitively on the international stage.
