Young artists explore eastern philosophy in new exhibition

The Macao Youth Art Association has launched the “Infinity Beyond Imagery – Collective Exhibition by Macao Young Artists,” featuring works by 15 emerging local artists.
The exhibition, supported by Sands China Ltd. and the Cultural Development Fund, runs until August 23 at The Parisian Macao.
Curated by Hera Ieong, the exhibition explores themes rooted in Eastern philosophy, such as “Infinity” and “Imagery,” through over 80 works in both traditional media – including ink, mineral colors, and calligraphy – and contemporary cross-media formats. It aims to reinterpret ancient aesthetics for a modern audience.
“Tradition is not a symbol to be preserved but a way of thinking to be reimagined,” said curator Ieong. “Through the interplay of the ancient and the contemporary, these works open new pathways for cultural dialogue and creative innovation.”
