Zhang Rongshun leaves Liaison Office in Macau

The State Council has approved the cessation of appointment of Zhang Rongshun as deputy director of the Central People’s Government’s Liaison Office in Macau, the office announced on its website. No announcement as to Zhang’s future position has been made so far. Zhang assumed the position in June 2018. Prior to his appointment to the Liaison Office, he worked in several national-level positions, such as the SARs Affairs Office of the State Council, as well as being the vice chair at the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Zhang is 59 years old.

Running competition to block numerous roads 

From 9 a.m. this Saturday to 10 a.m. this Sunday, a number of public roads will be cordoned off to facilitate a running competition. The traffic suspension will also affect a number of bus routes, such as 15, 21A, 22 and 25. Affected bus stops will be out of service from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. this Sunday. Concerned areas include the coastal district from Ocean Garden to near Galaxy Macau, as well as certain areas within the Concordia Industrial Park. Measures such as parking space suspensions, as well as limited or completely blocked traffic will be implemented in these roads.
