The China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival, integrated in the fourth edition of the “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” will be held from November 4 to 18.

Themed “All Rivers Flow to the Sea,” this year’s film festival will present nearly 30 films from China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The opening film, In Search of Lost Time, will be screened on November 4 at the Galaxy Cinemas.

This year’s festival is divided into three sections, namely, “As Inclusive as the Ocean,” “China Films” and “Portuguese-speaking Films,” highlighting the “spirit of exchange and inclusion, mutual understanding and pioneering between China (including Macau) and Portuguese-speaking countries and regions,” as cited in a statement issued by the Cultural Affairs Bureau.

Also, in a bid to introduce more films to the community, the film The Boy and the World will be screened on October 29 at 2:45 p.m. at the Taipa Houses Amphitheatre, with free admission.

Members of the public who dine in at participating restaurants at the Broadway Food Street, from October 18 to November 3, are eligible to receive a voucher to redeem two film tickets for the opening film In Search of Lost Time during this period, at the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building during office hours.
