2025 Hengqin Music Light Show to launch this weekend

The 2025 Hengqin Music Light Show will take place this weekend, from October 17 to 19, on the large lawn north of the Hengqin International Financial Center.
Organized by the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone Bureau of People’s Livelihood, the event serves as a cultural preview of the upcoming 15th National Games, 12th National Paralympic Games, and 9th Special Olympics.
Scheduled daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the show will transform the grassland into an immersive venue featuring artistic installations, drone formations, lighting, and musical performances.
The centerpiece is a 20-meter-high violin installation that functions both as a daytime landmark and a nighttime performance medium.
A fleet of 2,000 drones will create aerial displays over Hengqin’s central waterway, forming a 30,000-square-meter visual canvas showcasing Greater Bay Area (GBA) architecture, cultural symbols, and National Games motifs.
The musical program features nine performing groups over three nights, including artists Momo Wu, Jinny Ng, and Sir Deer, blending musical themes with contemporary elements.
The event will also host more than 40 food and cultural stalls. RD
