55 suspected illegal workers found last month

The Public Security Police Force (PSP) and the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) apprehended 55 people in December last year on suspicion of working illegally in Macau. The suspected illegal workers were found during joint inspections at 298 locations. These included construction sites, private buildings, and commercial and industrial establishments. The number represented a significant month-on-month drop, as in November, 264 inspections of the same kind resulted in the apprehension of 76 suspects. In total, in 2025, authorities tackled approximately 867 people suspected of providing illegal work in Macau, an average of 72 per month.
