8th Legislative Assembly to hold first plenary session Thursday

The inaugural plenary session of the 8th Legislative Assembly (AL) is scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m. Key items on the agenda include the election of the AL president and other members of the governing body. Until a new president is elected, the eldest member of the AL will preside over the session. Among the newly elected lawmakers from last month’s elections, José Pereira Coutinho is the oldest. The new president will succeed Kou Hoi In.
