All Night Gong

Macau’s first all-night gong bath sound wave therapy took place earlier this month to celebrate Chinese deity Guandi’s birthday.
Hosted by the Macau Singing Bowl Cultural Association and Mandarin Oriental Macau, the event attracted local body, mind and soul health enthusiasts and people from all over the world.
The event coincided with the eve of Guandi’s birthday, which was very meaningful. Qiu Mingyan, president of the Macau Singing Bowl Cultural Association, pointed out in his speech on behalf of the organizer that the gong carries the thousand-year wisdom of Chinese gong art.
Since ancient times, it has been a medium to connect heaven and earth and purify the body and mind. It is in line with the tradition of gongs in Guan Gong culture to drive away evil spirits and protect righteousness.
This event, which has been prepared for more than two years, specially invited Xue Kaiming, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Chinese gong art, and the local sound therapy team to join in the event and revive the ancient gong art with modern sound therapy.
The sound waves of the gongs all night are intended to convey three blessings:
* Remove negative energy from the body and mind and awaken vitality;
* Increase the energy frequency of Macau and sow the seeds of peace and stability;
* On the auspicious day of Guandi’s birthday, use sound waves to create blessings across time and space and pass on the spirit of gongs.
This sound bath feast combined traditional culture with modern healing, a new chapter in the field of body, mind and soul healing in Macau. IS
