Association calls for more consumption promotions

The Industry and Commerce Association of Macau is calling on the government to roll out more consumption-based promotions to continue stimulating consumption and benefiting local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In an interview with the public radio broadcaster TDM, the association chairman Ng Wah Hai stated that the Association hopes the authorities will launch more consumption promotion activities to support SMEs. He pointed out that previous rounds of consumption promotion activities mainly benefited the retail industry, but the catering industry has remained relatively quiet in the evening. He suggested that authorities change the redemption window for consumption vouchers from weekends to weekdays to promote nighttime consumption.
