BOC Macau launches WeChat Mini program payment

Bank of China Macau launched its first BOC Pay WeChat Mini Program payment service this month, enabling seamless transactions within the WeChat ecosystem. According to reports, the initial phase integrates with MFood delivery and will expand to additional service-oriented merchants to meet residents’ daily needs and enhance electronic payment convenience. After completing a purchase, users select BOC Pay, which redirects them to the bank’s mobile banking app for secure verification. Previously, local payment tools were unavailable in WeChat mini-programs. The new service fills this gap, enhancing transaction conversion rates and customer loyalty.
