CE reviews progress on Hengqin Cooperation Zone initiatives

The Chief Executive, Sam Hou Fai, recently chaired the third meeting of the leading group overseeing the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The group reviewed progress and discussed policy, legislative, personnel, and resource support for the zone’s development. According to the Government Information Bureau (GCS) statement, recent leadership adjustments aim to enhance coordination and promote high-quality growth focused on technological innovation, industrial advancement, and improved convenience for Macau residents working or living in Hengqin. The CE also urged government departments to systematically advance key projects and deploy skilled civil servants to support the zone’s development.
