Consumer prices rise 1.24% y-o-y in June

The city’s Composite Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 1.24% year-on-year in June 2026 but fell 0.15% compared with May, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased 1.31% year-on-year, while transport costs rose 3.71% due to higher gasoline prices and airfares. Clothing and footwear, as well as miscellaneous goods and services, also recorded increases. The average Composite CPI for the first half of 2026 grew 1.11% year-on-year.
